1- Indus River: - Indus River passes through Abbottabad, Pakhtunkhwa but Punjab takes benefit from it by getting millions of tons of wheat from Indus river water but no royalty is paid to Pakhtunkhwa despite the fact that huge revenue is earned by the Rawalpindi District of Punjab.
Pakhtunkhwa has 70% of all the water of Pakistan, but sadly only 30% of Pakhtunkhwa's land is being irrigated.2- Batgram Dam ( Allai Khwar dam) :

3- Allai Khwar Hydropower Plant: Allai Khwar Hydropower Plant was commenced in January 2005 and the project was completed in March 2013. Power House is in commercial operation since 25 March 2010. The project was officially inaugurated on 4 March 2013 by then President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari Stating the fact, Batgram district’s total demand of electricity is not more than 20 MW But still the district only gets ten hours of electricity in 24hours.
4- Tarbella dam: The dam was completed in 1976 and was designed to utilize water from the Indus River for irrigation, flood control and the generation of hydroelectric power by storing flows during the monsoon period and subsequently releasing stored water during the low flow period in winter.The installed capacity of the 4,888 MW Tarbela hydroelectric power stations will increase to 6,298 MW after completion of the planned fifth extension financed by Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank and the World bank.

Stating the fact, most of all the Electricity of Pakistan is generated from the land of Pashtuns. But again sadly the villages that are connected to this dam still live under darkness i.e without electricity. Despite the fact that entire Pakhtunkhwa only needs 100 MW of electricity.
5- Khanpur Dam: Khanpur Dam is locted on the Haro River in Khanpur, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa which is about 50 kms far from islamabad. it forms Khanpur lake, a reservoir which supplies drinking water to Islamabad and Rawalpindi. and irrigation water to many of the agricultural and industial areas surrounding the cities but yet again no royality/payment is made to the Khyber pakhtunkhwa province for that.
6- Karak: Karak is a district in Kohat Division of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province Most recently oil, gas, and uranium have all been discovered. Oil and Gas reservoirs have been found in the towns of Makori, Noshpa Banda, Gurguri and Lachi circle. These Oil and Gas reservoirs explored in Karak district are producing 7000 barrels of oil and 2500 cubic feet gas on daily basis which is a record production from the single oil well in the country.
The oil and gas reservoirs at Noshapa Banda in district Karak are generating revenue of millions of rupees daily. District Karak is blessed with mineral resources that’s why many national and international companies and OGDCL are busy in oil and gas exploration in different areas of the district.
All the profits which is generated from these mines goes to Pakistan and not a single benefit is provided to local people. Also there is no availability of gas in Karak even after producing it for rest of the country.
Today KP is producing more than 50% of national crude oil, 15% Gas and 35% LPG of national production but still is devoid of its own natural resources.
7- Coal mines: The coal mines operative in KPK are Hangu / Orakzai (81 million tons), Charat (7.74 million tons), Galakhel (30 million tons), and Dara Adamkhel (recently started mining) coal fields. And the undeveloped one is Sherani Coalfield (1 million tons).
To state the fact again, Pakhtunkhwa Buner is rich in natural minerals, a masterpiece of beauty. Annualy, crores of royalties goes to the national exchequer from these minerals. But the unfortunate district of Pakhtunkhwa is beset by various serious problems, especially roads, health, water, gas.
8- ParaChinar Pak-Afghan Border: If the ParaChinar Pak-Afghan Border is opened for import and export, it would be so beneficial and will leave no one poor in the entire area of Kurram. But unfortunately the responsibility of this border has been taken by an Army Colonel who earns crores of rupees in a month from this border and does not even think about the betterment of the people living in the region.
9- Bajaur: Bajaur is a district in Malakand Division of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in Pakistan. Until 2018, it was an agency of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas, then during restructuring that merged FATA with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, it became a district. An estimated 500 million tons of Marble and 200 million tons of Granite reserves exists in Bajaur District.
To state the fact, Bajaur district is rich in resources but still people are so poor here.
There are no proper roads, infrastructure and education facility.
The literacy rate is also below 30 %.
10. Some other interesting points:
i- The total forest area of the province is about 2.043 million hectare which is about 45% of the total forest area of the country.
ii- In addition, the beautiful valleys of KPK such as Swat, Kumrat, Kagan, Balakot, Shagharan, Saiful Muluk and Babu Sartap plays a very important role in tourism.
iii- Annual production of maize, wheat, sugarcane and tobacco is 7.5 million tons.
iv: KP has the capacity of getting around 14 trillion tons of marble, limestone, dolomite, soapstone and silica annually. Also it has capacity of 70 million carats of Gemstone annually.
