A Pashtun killed by puppet police is still seeking justice

Naqeeb Ullah Mehsud popularly known as Naseemullah was born on January 1, 1991, in a small village of South Waziristan's Makeen tehsil. He had 3 children (two daughters and a son). He acquired a loan of 5 lakh PKR from his relatives and planned to start a clothing store in Sohrab Goth, Karachi. Prior to opening a clothing shop he worked in a garment mill in Karachi and with the meagre savings he managed to fund his passion for modelling.

He used to run a popular Facebook page where he posted pictures of his modelling days, in myriad hues and shades. He was no less than an idol to young people of the Mehsud tribe in Karachi.
By late December 2017, Naqeebullah's page had more than 14,000 followers, and he often posted amusing content which gained traction of the masses.

On September 16, he posted a warning to young people to not to engage in the "Blue Whale Challenge", a reported viral social media challenge then that encouraged self-harm, particularly to the young minds.

In late January 2018, a statement from the Karachi police floated which said that they killed at least 318 suspects during raids and shoot-outs in Karachi.

It was the dreadful time when so-called "encounter killings" were prevalent in Pakistan. Various Human Rights groups reports suggested that Pakistan police killed many innocents due to lack of enough evidence for a court conviction. Extrajudicial killings increased manifolds in Pakistan particularly in the Pashtun region.

Naqeeb Ullah- Victim of Pakistan’s extrajudicial killing

On 3 January 2018, Naqeebullah was kidnapped along with two of his friends, Hazrat Ali and Muhammad Qasim by SSP Rao Anwar's men in plainclothes from Gulsher Agha Hotel in Karachi. On 6 January, both of his friends were set free by the police but Naqeebullah was kept in captivity, tortured, and then killed on 13 January in a fake encounter in which he was shot twice. Alongside Naqeebullah, three other men namely Muhammad Sabir and Muhammad Ishaq from Bahawalpur and Nazar Jan Mahsud from South Waziristan were also killed by the police in the staged encounter, the latter of whom was shot from a close range. On 17 January, Naqeebullah's dead body was handed over to his relatives at the Chhipa Welfare Association morgue in Karachi. On 18 January, his body was taken by his relatives to Tank, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where Islamic funeral prayer was performed for him, and on the same day, he was buried at his hometown Makeen, South Waziristan.

The question which surrounds the conspiracy are:

1- If Naqeebbullah was releted to any terror organisation, then why hasn't he been investigated till date and even if the investigation has been done, why has it not been made public till date?

2- If Naqeebbullah was innocent then why Rao Anwar was not framed and prosecuted?

3- When will Naqeebbullah get justice?

4- Even after Naqeebbullah, hundreds of innocent Pashtuns like Naqeeb have become victims of state sponsored target killing. When will target killing cease?
